Today I spent the better part of the day creating my own Elements of Art posters. As a newer teacher, I've had some problems finding decent posters and decorations for my art room. I found one batch of posters that retailed for over $75.00 and they weren't all that attractive. I created these Elements of Art posters in a variety of formats depending on what you would like to use them for. They are exciting and really hone in on the key concepts of each element of art. I also wanted to expose students to a variety of different artworks on the posters such as works by Rembrandt, Salvador Dali, Andrew Wyeth, Picasso, Grant Wood, Mondrian, and Van Gogh.

Each poster includes the definition of the element and multiple examples for students to learn by. A .zip file containing 96 total pages of posters is available for sale in my Teachers Pay Teachers store. I offer them in a 24"x30" and 16"x20" block poster size as well as .jpg and .pdf formats for easy printing. Save money and assemble your own posters that will appeal to your students. These posters will appeal to students of all ages and abilities. You can also use the posters as printable handouts for students.

Buy the set of 6 elements of art poster designs in a 96-page .zip file by clicking here.

Hi! I love these posters and would like to buy them to put up in my art room but is there any chance you could redo the 'color' poster as in Australia we spell it 'colour'

Hi there,
I just purchased the Elements of Art product you have on TPT and was going to copy the posters onto a thumb drive to take to the local print shop and have them printed for me. It says that they are encrypted. (not sure what that means) Was wondering if there is a way to get those posters to a printer to print for my classroom. This was the whole reason for my purchase of the product.

Thank you so much!

Hi Lon,

The posters should have downloaded as a .zip file. This means all of the posters are compressed to reduce file size (otherwise TPT would not let me upload them as products).

Here are some instructions: If you have a zip file and you want Windows XP to unzip it, right-click the file and select 'Extract All'. This should bring up the 'Compressed (zipped) Folders Extraction Wizard'. To extract the file or files, click 'Next' and select a directory or folder where the wizard can send the files.

If you don't have Windows XP, you may need another software program to "unzip" your file. There are many free software programs that can be downloaded to "unzip" .zip files. If you are still having problems, I can see about possibly e-mailing or sharing the files through Google Drive.

Let me know. Thanks!

Hi, I just ordered the posters and the pdf format has the images broken up into several pages. Can you save the poster as an XPS document? That will make the document printer ready.

Do you not have Form? It is also an Element of Art. I bought this set and it is great but would love to have form to go with the set.

Thank you so much for these!! I, too, wasn't all that impressed with the super-expensive-and-not-actually-that-nice options. These looks great and I can't wait to hang them in my room. You saved me a boatload of time making my own at a reasonable price, so thanks!! :)

Thanks for helping me understand that art posters would be in various formats depending on what they will be used for. I guess I need to know what would be best for my living room if I want to buy a South Western poster to decorate the walls with. It is something that I am fascinated with since I can remember, so I want the design to complement the space well by getting the right size and design.
